Educational Opportunities

  • There is a robust system of private and public universities, colleges and trade schools in Maine. Most have veteran counselors and well established veteran’s programs. Your Boots2Roots representative will help get you connected if you are interested in pursuing an education pathway.
  • Maine Upward Bound – A great resource if you want to pursue higher education in Maine.
  • Certified Manufacturing Associate- certification
  • The Landing School – Become part of Maine’s shipbuilding/maritime legacy. Become certified in marine related composites, woodworking, ship systems and yacht design. Courses are GI Bill compatible and virtually guarantee employment in one of Maine’s many specialty ship builders or boat yards with great pay. We’ve had other Teammates utilize this program with success.
